Activated rosin flux is ideal for most applications where components are not washed after soldering. The rosin actually works as a protective coating. Cardas also supplies water soluble, organic based Flux. Circuit board manufacturers use organic flux for the clean finish it produces, however, all joints must be washed in a special bath, after soldering, to prevent corrosion.
